Livin' Life

So, not much new has gone on here. Kyle had another T-Ball game last Saturday, and it was like trying getting him to play was like trying to pull teeth! It seemed that a lot of kids were just not into playing that day. Kyle did enjoy batting and running the bases, but otherwise tried to sit on the blanket the whole time. At one point he was up to bat and he swung, not waiting for us to tell him to go (he can be very impatient!), and one of his teammates walked right in front and Kyle's ball (which was a great hit by the way) hit him right in the head! Well, imagine if you were out somewhere and you hit a dude with a ball, and they turned around ready to throw a punch because you hit them first...that was this little kid! He took off his hat, looked mad, and then pulled his arm back for a punch! A THREE YEAR OLD! I was shocked! Crazy kid. Good thing his mom was there! She told him it was an accident. I felt bad he got belted of course (while being proud of Kyle's great hit), but it was just a tennis ball.

Anyway, so game over. As we were headed home, I decided to call an old friend, and surprise, she was in town! So, we stopped by the dojo (karate school) and met up with her and some other friends. Her son was there, so Ethan and Kyle played the whole rest of the day (his new best friend). They had a great time, and they played really well together. Kyle invited him over to play in his "cabin" and they did great! So, we will now be going up to San Francisco soon to go to Ethan's birthday party. It should be a lot of fun!

Let's see...if I did this more often, there might not be so much to write at once! Kyle spent some time at the library with Ryan and then they went to the park and on a walk to get ice cream on Monday. Kyle walked a LONG way, he was a trooper! He had a lot of fun yesterday. I also went and got him a bunch of stuff to make crafts, which he enjoyed doing.

And on to today...we had a very relaxing day, aside from the fact that Joshua insisted on being held ALL DAY! If I tried to put him down, he would not let me, he would stand up while I was trying to sit him down, so I couldn't let got or he would fall over! The stinker! Then he would start crying...so of course, the sucker I am, kept picking him up! He's just hilarious and so much fun. He makes funny faces and now, he is into trying to make you laugh, and he'll just start laughing hoping you'll join along. He loves playing with Kyle and watching the dogs too.

Well, he is also trying to walk everywhere. Not by himself, but by holding on to things and pushing them. Like a chair, or his little car thing. He has falled over so many times just today! Poor thing, he won't stop! He has a little bruise on his cheek, and I'm sure by tomorrow he will have more! On the back of his head, his forhead, another cheek! I felt so bad! But like I said...he wouldn't stop, and did it again!

Well, I'm pretty much caught up on the boys, last is what we did today...Kyle puffpainted a shirt! First time to do it, and quite possibly the last! He made a mess! Wow, pretty much emptied the bottles in big globs all over the shirt! So, of course it won't dry like that and there is no way to put that stuff back in the bottle, so he had to smear it...with his hands... What a mess! I helped him make some handprints, which was fun, and then he pretty much finger painted (or more to the point, hand smeared) the rest all over his shirt. I said, "ok, that's enough!" "No mommy, I'm making a dinosaur!"...hmmm...

Well, finally he finished and we washed up and his friends were going home...but of course, the day is not complete without one of his tantrums! I love my boy...can not stand his tantrums! However, at least he is consistent! He's the best, as is Joshua. I couldn't have asked for two more perfect little boys. They are precious and perfect and so much fun!

Until next time!

Dear Tiff,
Thanks so much for sharing part of your world. It makes me feed closer even tho we are thousands of miles away. Give hugs and kisses to my boys and tell them there Maine Grammie loves them very much.

Great Blog, Tiffy! I can't believe how old the boys are looking... especially Joshua. They are both so handsome!! You are definitely more ambitious than me; it's all I can manage just to keep their baby books updated, and I'm not even doing a good job at that! Looks like you three are doing well, and I'm glad for that. We miss you and hope you can make it up our way sometime soon! Love you!!
